Nights in Rodanthe

I had high hopes for this movie. Richard Gere and Diane Lane always seem to have the best on screen chemistry, as seen in their previous film Unfaithful. Undoubtedly, Nights in Rodanthe is a love story. The beginning of the movie is a little slow. The plot takes a while to develop, leaving you wondering if you should continue watching it. At the same moment you are tempted to turn it off, the plot gets a little more interesting and you are wondering what is going to happen.

Diane Lane's character is a sweet mother of two who deserves a good man, which is exactly what you expect to happen for her. Richard Gere's character is somewhat of a hardened soul in search of guidance. The two meet and create a relationship that you know they both deserve. He is able to soften his heart and is able to find his way.

At this point in the movie, the viewer is hooked! Unfortunately, the ending is not what you expect. I was very disappointed with the ending, which left me a little depressed. I don't get it! Don't we get enough of real life on a day to day basis?? I don't know about you, but I watch movies to escape reality, not get a heavy dose of it! I expect fantasy and happy endings. If you feel the same, don't watch it. Again, don't take my word for it, judge for yourself.

Medea Goes to Jail

If you have seen any of the Medea movies, you already know how hilarious they are. Medea is the grandmother we all wish we had. She is feisty, funny, and the biggest bad ass of any 60 year old woman anyone could imagine.
This movie is worth seeing. If you haven't seen any of the previous movies, rent them! In order to truly appreciate and understand why Medea is in jail, you need some background on her.
Each movie has a moral and each movie will keep you laughing. The backgrounds of each story give you a preview of what some people experience in their day to day lives and the struggles and hardship some people find themselves in. The creator, Tyler Perry, is able to give viewers a look into serious issues, while at the same time creating a light and fun movie.
See it! Medea Goes to Jail is in theaters now.

Friday the 13th

Hey all! It's Valentine's Day eve and I just got home from watching Friday the 13th. I for one am not a fan of scary movies, but in the name of research I decided to put my big girl panties on and watch it. From my standpoint, I did not see what the big deal was about this movie. Yeah, it is scary... kind of

There is not much that is truly scary about it. It is more of a make you jump movie. The plot line is obvious, if you have seen any kind of scary movie. It is apparent that the person who walks alone in the woods or follows the scary noise is going to be the next to get wacked by Jason's machete. Not to mention there have been 11 other Friday the 13th's, and Jason is somehow indestructible, not even a stab to the heart and a wood chipper will take this beast down. There is one twist in the movie that viewers will not expect... but I will leave it to you to decide what that is, no spoiled endings here!

Overall, the movie is decent. If you have nothing else to do, like being kind of scared, and have $10.00 to throw away then my recommendation is see it. Don't take my word for it. I'm just giving my opinion, everyone has one and you may disagree.

Valentine's Day Must Sees

Not sure what to watch this Valentine's Day? I am here to offer some helpful suggestions for you despite your relationship status. This "Hallmark" holiday leaves most singles feeling down and those in a relationship feeling pressured to find an appropriate gesture for their "loved" one. If you fall into either category, I am equipped to prescribe you the perfect solution...a movie! Valentine's Day does not mean you have to watch some sappy chick-flick, unless you are into that sort of thing. Valentine's Day is a day where you are supposed to spend time with the one you love or love at the time. In this case, why not spend the time watching a movie you both can appreciate? Perhaps a scary movie may do the trick. This would be perfect for a guy trying to get close to his girl in a non-creepy way. A scary movie will produce the perfect opportunity to get close as she will have free reign to hide behind you with out the awkwardness. If scary movies are not your cup of tea, pick a movie you can enjoy. Below is a list I have compiled for either scenario you find yourself in this Valentine's Day.
